考馬斯亮藍R250（Coomassie brilliant blue R250）。C45H44O7H3S2Na，MW=824，λmax=560―590nm。染色靈敏度比氨基黑高5倍。尤其適用于SDS電泳微量蛋白質染色。但蛋白質濃度超出一定范圍時，對高濃度蛋白的染色不符合Beer定律，用作定量分析時要注意這點。

考馬斯亮藍R-250是通過范德瓦爾鍵與蛋白質結合，尤其適用于SDS電泳微量蛋白質染色。它與不同蛋白質結合呈現出基本相同的顏色，并且在比較寬的范圍內，掃描峰的面積與蛋白量呈線性關系。
