自噬(autophagy)是細胞受到刺激后吞噬自身的細胞質或細胞器，最終將吞噬物在溶酶體內降解的過程，自噬體(autophagosome)為雙層膜包被的圓形或橢圓形結構，內含細胞質、長壽蛋白質和異常蛋白聚集物，損傷或多余細胞器如線粒體、粗面內質網和微體、病毒和細菌等。
     單丹磺酰尸胺(Dansylcadaverine,MDC )是一種熒光色素，是嗜酸性染色劑，通常被用于檢測自噬體形成的特異性標記染色劑，其檢測激發濾光片波長355nm。阻斷濾光片波長512nm。細胞自噬染色檢測試劑盒(MDC法)，適用于培養細胞的自噬染色，又稱為MDC染色液，可與EB合用雙染。
